3-1-1 Citizen Contact Center
If you have a question, complaint, concern or need a city service, our citizen services advocates can take action or connect you to the right person.

Whether you want to report a pothole, find out about the next trash pickup, or thank a city employee for a job well done, dial 3-1-1 from a landline in the city. If you are outside the city limits or are using a cell phone, call 757-727-8311. Our advocates are here from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day, and after-hours calls are routed through police.

Hampton was the first locality in Virginia to establish a centralized 3-1-1 call center offering around-the-clock access to city services and information.  You will reach a local person you can talk to, who can help with everything from grass complaints to inspection requests.
