Putting Out Fires: Volunteer Firefighters - Wednesday, August 16, noon-1 pm

SQUARE HHM 0338_Hampton_Fire_Dept_1930

Volunteer firefighting units are, and have been, social centers of community     in their areas. Citizens learn from each other, exchange news and ideas, and bond in caring for the community. Former Hampton mayor and councilmember Ross Kearney will lead a round-table discussion among volunteer fire fighters from the consolidated Hampton area including Hampton Company, Buckroe Company, Wythe Company, Phoebus Company and Fox Hill Company. Join us in sharing their stories and memories, and, perhaps even  a tall tale or two! Bring a bag lunch—we’ll have free dessert for you!

This event is free and open to the public.
