License Fees for Heavy Weight Trucks

License fees for tractor trucks and heavy trucks follow the same rules as privately owned vehicles, except for trucks over 11,100 pounds. The maximum fee for a license varies depending on the type of truck. To determine the EXACT fee please contact our office at (757) 727-6843. The license fee is assessed on all motor vehicles, trailers or semitrailers that have situs in the city for any portion of the year between January 1st and June 30th.
