Take the Firefighter Agility Test
The Firefighter Agility Test is designed to determine whether applicants are physically suited for a career in fire service. It may also indicate whether or not an applicant has a fear of confined spaces, a fear of heights, is able to follow directions or has difficulty with hand-eye coordination.
The Agility Test consists of the following 5 tasks:
- Hose Line Extension
- Hose Line Hoist
- Phobia Event
- Rescue Event
- Kaiser Sled Event
On the day of your Agility Test, applicants will view a video that shows the proper way to complete each of the 7 tasks. A Test Proctor will be assigned to each station to repeat your instructions.
Applicants must sign a Waiver of Liability Form before participating in the Agility Test.
Applicants successfully completing the Agility Test will be given a Fire Division Background Questionnaire, a list of Required Documentation, and scheduled for the next step of the process.
