Volunteers Needed to Read Recycling Story to Elementary Classrooms
The Adventures of a Plastic Bottle

The Hampton Clean City Commission is coordinating a recycling story time at elementary schools as part of our Great American Cleanup Campaign. We need volunteers who could give one or two weekday hours between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (generally excluding lunch time) to read "The Adventures of a Plastic Bottle", which follows a plastic bottle from natural resource to recycled product.

Volunteers will be reading to kindergartners through 3rd graders in classroom settings. Some knowledge of recycling is nice, but not necessary. Volunteers will provide their own transportation to the schools. Books and give-away materials will be provided by the Hampton Clean City Commission.

If you are interested in volunteering for this program, sign up HERE. In the information box at the bottom, indicate “Adventures” and designate times and dates you would be available to read.
