Close to 2,000 military spouses from all branches of the military service in Hampton Roads enjoyed a free evening of pampering at the third annual "Evening Under The Stars" on May 13, 2009 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.

The event, sponsored by the Joint Military Spouse Appreciation Committee, with assistance from Langley Air Force Base, Fort Monroe, Fort Eustis, the Air National Guard, the United States Navy, and the Hampton Military Affairs Committee, was designed to offer thanks for the important role spouses play in tending to their families and home, as their mates serve our nation here and abroad.

At the event, an assortment of vendors provided manicures, massages, health and natural beauty offerings, hair styling, chocolates, and personal care products, all free of charge.
