Hours of Operation:
  • Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Closed Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Additional hours for special programs and activities will be posted.

Directions:
From 64 take LaSalle Avenue exit 265A. Proceed to the sixth traffic light and turn right onto Kecoughtan Road. The Senior Center is two blocks down at the corner of Kecoughtan and Cherokee. (On LaSalle proceed south four traffic lights from Pembroke, three traffic lights from Settlers Landing Road, two traffic lights from Shell Road, or one traffic light from Victoria Boulevard to Kecoughtan).

Features
The center provides a wide variety of programs and activities for senior adults.

Club Scene:
  • The Timeless Fashions - a club designed to provide members with modeling techniques, beauty care, self improvement tips and professional modeling. Meets the third Tuesday of each month at 12:00 NOON.
  • The Lunch Bunch - meet, eat and socialize at local restaurants the first Friday of each month at 12:30 PM.
  • TGISNO - Thank Goodness It's Seniors Night Out - Quarterly evening program including dances, suppers the Monte Carlo Auction and other activities.

Fitness and Exercise:
  • Line Dance - learn and develop line dancing skills, exercise in a fun environment and have the opportunity to perform for community groups. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 AM.
  • Moves and Grooves - a fast paced video exercise program to help keep you fit. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 AM.
  • Seniorcise - an instructor led low impact exercise program with attention to fitness and nutrition. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 AM.

Learning and Travel:
  • Day and Overnight Trips - includes local plays and museums, visits to historical sites such as Monticello, Montpelier and The Black History Museum and excursions to inviting locations such as Myrtle Beach and the Bahamas.
  • LIFE: Learning is For Everyone - choose from a variety of life long learning classes such as Yoga, ballroom dancing, voice, guitar, keyboarding and more.
