- Hampton recycled a total of 22,156 tons of material through our residential recycling program in 2006.
- Hampton residents who do not have curbside recycling collection can drop-off their recyclables at the Materials Recovery Facility located at 5602 Chestnut Avenue in Newport News between 7AM and 5PM Monday-Friday.

- Bulk trash trucks collected 53,163.61 tons of bulk waste from the curb in 2006.
- Hampton collected and processed 13,555 tons of yardwaste to be used as compost and mulch during 2006.
- The current solid waste fee is $4.25 per week for recycling households and $10.00 per week for non-recycling households.
