Court Services

• The Court Services Division is responsible for maintaining order within the City of Hampton Circuit, General District and Juvenile and Domestic Relations courtrooms. This division also provides support services to judges as situations dictate, manage jurors both in the courtroom and when sequestered, transports defendants and inmates to appear before the court and performs other duties as required by the courts.

• The Civil Process Unit serves all summonses, orders and other civil processes issued by the courts and regulatory offices. This unit is also responsible for evictions within the city and executes levies, sales and seizures of property and collection of delinquent taxes in conjunction with the Treasurers Office.

• The Transportation Unit is responsible for transporting individuals to state facilities, to and from courts and other jurisdictions and for medical, dental and other appointments outside of the correctional facilities.
