City Events

Hampton University partners with the City of Hampton on the Hampton Jazz Festival: Since 1970, Hampton University and the City of Hampton have partnered to present the annual Hampton Jazz Festival. HU and the City of Hampton, along with Festival Productions Inc., are responsible for producing and promoting the festival each year. The Hampton Jazz Festival continues to be one of the preeminent music festivals on the east coast and is the only event of this nature in Virginia.

The Hampton Convention & Visitor Bureau and Hampton University work together: The Hampton Convention & Visitor Bureau works with Hampton University to host sporting events, conferences, and press groups, and in many other capacities.
