Enrichment Programs

Teens enrolled in the Teen Life - Unplugged camp should be provided with many opportunities to develop their skills, knowledge and ideas beyond the school year. Beginning summer 2019, enrichment programs have been carefully planned to give each camper a chance to pursue other interests in conjunction with the camps' daily schedule.

There are three opportunities for our teen campers ages 12-15.

  • Golf lessons*
  • Sailing lessons*
  • Entrepreneur/ Soft Skills (to include Facebook Business Account Certification)

Sailing Lessons

Parents will need to approve the lessons for their camper. The can do so by reviewing the Teen Life - Unplugged handbook, completing the appropriate section, then returning to the camp's community center. Staff members will transport and attend each sailing lesson with their camper which will be held at Fort Monroe Sailing Center, Monday- Friday from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Parent commitment is vital to the success of the camper’s experience. Campers will be picked up from their facility no later than 7:30 a.m for the two week session.

*The summer enrichment “Learn how to Sail” and “Learn how to Golf” programs are for campers registered under the Teen Life - Unplugged camps located at Northampton, West Hampton or Fort Monroe Community Centers.
