HERE! Attendance Improvement Workshop

Better attendance leads to a brighter educational future for all students! Healthy Families along with Hampton City Schools provides 90-minute, interactive workshops for family members who need to help their student's attendance. If a student has three (3) or more unexcused absences, taking one of these workshops will help to redirect students toward school success. Families may either volunteer to attend a workshop or can receive a referral from their school. attending may result in a one-time, no more than two (2) absences forgiveness. Certificates will be provided once workshop is completed. All Hampton City Schools provide support and information for families regarding attendance concerns.

This class will be taught virtually. Participant must have a electronic device that has a camera & microphone that is on at all time during class.

Workshop covers:

Impact of regular and on-time attendance
How to help students get the most out of their school day
Importance of routines
Available school and community resources
