[ARCHIVED] Hampton Fire Partners with Hotel Kids

Hampton Fire & Rescue has partnered with Hotel Kids in support of their mission to address the needs of children whose families live in hotels and motels because they can't afford traditional housing. These vulnerable families may not seek assistance because of fear of reprisals from agencies such as Child Protective Services. Hotel Kids serves as a bridge between community resources and homeless families.

Donation bins have been placed at the following Hampton Fire Stations:

Downtown Hampton #1 – 306 W. Pembroke Avenue
Phoebus #2 – 122 S. Hope Street
Fox Hill #5 – 416 Beach Road
NASA #8 - NASA Building 1248 • LARC
Briarfield #9 – 1590 Briarfield Road
Coliseum Central #10 – 204 Marcella Road
Willow Oaks Station #7, located at 176 Fox Hill Road

Hotelkids.Org is always in need of volunteers and financial contributions. They are also in need of essentials, food?including baby food, all sizes of shoes and clothing, bus passes, coolers and cooking equipment; as well as a place to store the donations. Additional information and ways to assist can be found on the website, www.hotelkids.org.
