[ARCHIVED] Hearings, votes on land-use matters delayed

All of the public hearings originally scheduled for the City Council meeting on Jan. 14, 2015, will be rescheduled for the Jan. 28 meeting.

Those items, originally heard by the Planning Commission on Dec. 4, 2014, as well as other items include:
Rezoning and use permit for a climate-controlled self-storage facility in Coliseum Central on Cunningham Drive (RZ 14-000088 and UP 14-00018);
Rezoning at Commander Sheppard Boulevard and Semple Farm Road from single-family residential to neighborhood commercial by BurgerBusters for a Taco Bell (RZ 14-00005);
Live entertainment permit for Peninsula Soul Food and Sports Bar at 2710 W. Mercury Blvd. (UP 14-00019);
Sign ordinance amendment adding an exemption for temporary special event signs (ZOA 155-2015);
Amendment of the site plan ordinance related to exemptions of the site plan requirement (SPO 14-00002).
The Daily Press failed to publish the submitted public notice, so the public hearings can not be held as originally scheduled.
Two items from the Planning Commission meeting are not affected:
A request for a day care, greenhouse and second-hand story in the Langley Research and Development Park is being withdrawn (RZ 14-00004 and UP 14-00016).
A request for a townhouse development on Big Bethel Road (RZ 14-00008) was deferred back to the Planning Commission at its February meeting at the applicant's request.
