[ARCHIVED] VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO PICK UP WREATHS AT HAMPTON NATIONAL CEMETERY

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO PICK UP WREATHS AT HAMPTON NATIONAL CEMETERY.
On December 13, 2014, National Wreaths Across America Day, remembrance wreaths were placed at the headstones of fallen veterans at more than 900 locations across the country and overseas. Under the guidance of Maribel Beckwith and the Navy Wives Clubs of America, Peninsula-Norfolk 91, a Wreaths Across America Remembrance Ceremony was held locally at Hampton National Cemetery, where almost 7,000 wreaths were laid to honor the individuals who served to protect the freedoms of our country. Tomorrow, those wreaths must be respectfully gathered and stored for next year’s ceremony. If you or your group would like to help accomplish this reverent task, please gather at Hampton National Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Hampton, VA 23669 at 0900, Saturday, January 10th. For more information, contact Maribel Beckwith by email at Hampton.VA.W.A.A.91@gmail.com.
