[ARCHIVED] Changeover of our prescription drug benefits from Express Scripts to OptumRx

In anticipation of the changeover of our prescription drug benefits from Express Scripts to OptumRx effective August 1, 2015, if you currently use Express Scripts Mail Order services we are encouraging you to order any refills that you will need prior to July 31, 2015. Most of the current home delivery prescriptions will automatically transfer from Express Scripts to OptumRx in August. There are certain drugs (controlled substances and compound drugs) that cannot be legally transferred. You will receive notification in early August if your home delivery refills were transferred. If you use a non-transferable medication, you will need to request a new prescription from your doctor.

We fully expect a smooth transition to OptumRx, but again – if you use mail order and will run out of your medication in early August, we highly suggest that you go ahead and get your refills through Express Scripts PRIOR to July 31st to ensure that if there are any issues with the transition, you will not be without your medication during that time.
