[ARCHIVED] Hampton Community Appearance & Litter Index Volunteers Needed September 16!

The Hampton Clean City Commission needs 10 detail-oriented volunteers to complete the annual Community Appearance & Litter Index on September 16 from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. They will evaluate litter and other appearance factors for 60 sites by city van. Lunch will be provided.

The Community Appearance & Litter Index is a key component of the Hampton Clean City Commission's requirements for Keep America Beautiful affiliation. The index provides a snapshot of litter, abandoned vehicles, graffiti, illegal signage, and outdoor storage at the sites.

HCCC uses the information from the index to plan programming and educational efforts.

To volunteer contact hccc@hampton.gov or 757-727-1130.
