[ARCHIVED] Cooler weather and flooding, wind concerns

Sept. 22, 2015 - High tide and high winds predicted for the next two weeks from the North and Northeast could cause some flooding across the region.

Even without the wind and rain, the area is looking at tides about a foot higher than normal, according to information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The National Weather Service forecasts call for showers or cloudy conditions throughout the week. the Weather Service said water levels in the area are not expected to exceed minor flood levels through Thursday. Of more concern is the Friday/Saturday period.
