Oct. 4, 2015 - Hampton remains under both a coastal flooding and wind advisory for Sunday.
Sunday's high tide of about 6.2 feet is expected around 3:14pm, which could cause flooding roughly the same as Friday, when at least two dozen streets were covered with water.
Rainfall will be sporadic but only about a quarter of an inch is predicted for Sunday.
Sustained winds on Sunday are predicted at up to 35 mph, with gusts up to 40-50 mph, especially along the coast.
Hampton has received no reports of water in homes; affected residents are urged to report damage to the 311 call center (727-8311).
The coastal flooding advisory has been extended through Monday evening, with tides early Monday and Monday afternoon expected to be above 5 feet.
The National Weather Service wind advisory runs until 8 p.m. Sunday. Gusts could be strong enough to down a few trees and cause scattered power outages. A few scattered outages have been reported in Hampton as of Sunday morning.
