[ARCHIVED] Youth Volunteers Needed for CHANGE Project December 5, 10am

Calling all high school and college student volunteers! The Hampton Clean City Commission is holding a CHANGE (Community Helping All New Growth Emerge) Beautification Project on December 5 on Coliseum Drive starting at 10am. Volunteers for the project will plant the bulbs using shovels. Depending on the number of volunteers who participate, we expect to be working for approximately 2 – 3 hours. Shovels, safety vests, and work gloves will be provided.

Participants in this activity and other Hampton Clean City Commission project are eligible for consideration in the CHANGE Grant in March. One grant of $500 will be awarded to each of the following categories: high school student, high school organization, college student, and college organization.

Many thanks to Huntington Garden Club, which donated 1,000 daffodil bulbs in preparation for a spring daffodil show at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.

To sign up for this project, contact Debbie at hccc@hampton.gov or call 727-1199.
