[ARCHIVED] Sign up now for the Mayor's Cup blood drive

June 7, 2016 - Sign up now for the Mayor's Cup Blood Drive that will be held Thursday June 9 at City Hall, 22 Lincoln St., from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., and June 29 at the Ruppert Sargent Building, 1 Franklin St., from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Join the friendly competition among area localities and earn bragging rights for Hampton while helping others. The blood drive is free and open to the public. Go online to www.redcrossblood.org for more information or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.

The need for blood is critical in the Mid-Atlantic Region, especially with an increase number of visitors traveling our roadways during the spring and summer months, said City Manager Mary Bunting. Blood supplies are at an all-time low and local hospitals are expecting to schedule their surgeries around the results of this year’s blood drive.

"Please join us in this worthy mission by scheduling an appointment at www.redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code HamptonCity in the “Find a Blood Drive” box," Bunting said.

If you have never signed in as a donor before, you can create an account by clicking Account Login at the top of the page.

Remember, WALK-INS are always welcome.
