[ARCHIVED] Weather Service issues blizzard warning for Hampton roads starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday

Jan. 3, 2017 - The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for Hampton and much of Hampton Roads from 7 p.m. today through 1 p.m. Thursday. The predicted snowfall for Hampton is now in the 8-12 inch range. Travel is expected to be dangerous,  with the possibility of downed trees and power lines, whiteout conditions and significant snow drifts.

City officials continue to prepare for the snowfall. Watch hampton.gov/topnews for updates, or follow Hampton, VA - Gov on Facebook.
