June 18, 2018 - The Fourth Annual Pride Party on the Peninsula will be held Wednesday, June 27 from 6-8 p.m. at Carousel Park in downtown Hampton. The party celebrates the area's "LGBT and allied communities in support of inclusion, dignity and equality of all people." It includes complimentary food and beverages and free rides on the historic carousel. Seating is limited, so RSVP now online

From 4-6 p.m. you can reflect on the history of Pride at the Crowne Plaza hotel conference space. (Registrations for the event outgrew the original meeting space.) Enjoy a moderated conversation with keynote speaker Charles Ford, a history professor at Norfolk State University. Later in the evening there will be a "Drag Down the River Boat Cruise" aboard the Miss Hampton II. The cost is $10 with proceeds benefiting the LGBT Life Center.

The Pride Party is sponsored by the Hampton Convention and Visitor Bureau, Downtown Hampton Development Partnership, Hampton Roads Pride and Citizens' Unity Commission. For more information and to RSVP visit www.VisitHampton.com/PrideParty
