[ARCHIVED] Home Repair Blitz is in search of volunteers for upcoming effort in Powhatan area

Home Repair Blitz

Sept. 15, 2018 - The Housing and Neighborhood Services Division is looking for volunteers and team leaders to help with the Hampton Home Repair Blitz scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20, in the Powhatan area. 

The twice-a-year Blitz is a chance for the elderly, disabled, veterans or low-income residents to get help making repairs to their homes. It is sponsored by the city, Habitat for Humanity and the Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority, with support from various community groups and organizations, including the United Way. 

All labor & materials for the Blitz are provided by community sponsors and volunteers for free or at minimal cost to eligible homeowners.
