community

Nov. 16, 2018 - Hampton’s Community Development Department will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Francis Asbury Elementary School, 140 Beach Road, to refine neighborhood priorities for the new Fox Hill Neighborhood Center. Once priorities are established, renovations will begin on the building - the former Cornerstone Church at 65 Hall Road. Please RSVP by Monday, Nov. 26 to Tolu Ibikunle at tibikunle@hampton.gov, 757-728-5237; or Jasmine Bryson at jbryson@hampton.gov, 757-727-6192. Neighborhood centers are smaller than community centers and typically serve a smaller geographic area. In addition, the surrounding community and community groups are more involved in governance, programming and activities at the center.
