Award-winning alt-country band The Heart Stompers perform for the Hampton History Museum’s monthly music series on Wednesday, February 20, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 pm.

The Heart Stompers (formerly Gina Dalmas & The Cow Tippin’ Playboys) reach deep into the roots of country music but end up making magic of their own, mixing in liberal doses of rock, blues, and Americana. In a world of knock-off country bands aiming for that new radio sound, this band keeps music like it should be, honest, straight- forward, and from the heart.

The Heart Stompers are Gina Dalmas, Gordon Bradley, Greg Wikle, Christopher May and Gabriel Baesen. The band recently welcomed their newest member, Gordon Bradley, in late 2018. With a new member and a new band name, the lineup shines with two and three part harmonies, switching off lead vocals and a wealth of new material.

The group won the Veer Magazine Award for Best Country Artist from 2012 through 2016, the Portfolio Music Award for Best Americana Music in 2009 and the Meona Award for Best New Alt-Country Artist in 2009. Visit their website.

Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Proceeds support the museum. Admission is free for museum members, $5.00 for non-members. Seating and capacity are limited, and first come, first serve.

Held in the Hampton History Museum’s Great Hall on the third Wednesday of each month, the Front Porch Music Series presents different genres and of music that have shaped the American soundscape and influenced talent in Hampton Roads’ vibrant music scene.

The Hampton History Museum is located at 120 Old Hampton Lane in Downtown Hampton. There is free parking in the garage across the street from the museum. For more information call 757-727-1102
