April 15, 2019 - The city manager's recommended budget for 2019-2020 is now available online. The proposed budget would fully fund the city schools’ budget, add police personnel, boost flood mitigation projects, increase workforce development and provide for 3 percent raises for city and school staff. The total of $487,881,672, is a 3.55% increase from the FY 2019 budget.

Copies of the spending plan are available on the city’s website and in printed form in city libraries. City Council will hold public hearings on the city manager's proposal on April 24 and May 1, with a final Council vote scheduled for May 8. The new fiscal year begins July 1, 2019.
