[ARCHIVED] Health insurance briefings during open enrollment in June 2019

open enrollment

June 10, 2019 — Employees are encouraged to attend one of the briefings on the benefits of the health insurance available during open enrollment for 2019 health insurance coverage, which began Monday, June 3, and ends Friday, June 21, at noon.

The four sessions provide more information on the Anthem BCBS Plan and an opportunity to ask questions. Briefings are open to all PFT employees and their spouses.

Note:

  • There are no changes to the health insurance plan.
  • Your prescription drug benefits will remain the same and will continue to be provided by OptumRx. A current drug formulary will soon be posted on the City’s health benefits webpage.
  • The health insurance plan year will be changing from an Aug. 1-July 31 effective period to a Jan. 1-Dec. 31 effective period Jan. 1, 2020. This change will align with the plan year for the Dental, Vision, and Flexible Spending Account benefits. As a result, we will have another health insurance open enrollment in November for the January 1-December 31 plan year.

For more information, call Megan Alston in the Finance Department at 727-6610. Employees can find additional information at the Health Insurance Forms page.
