[ARCHIVED] Youth mentoring program seeks volunteers to work with middle schoolers in Hampton

Oct. 1, 2019 - Join Mayor Donnie Tuck and Hampton City Schools Superintendent Jeffery Smith on Oct. 17 when the Office of Youth and Young Adult Opportunities and Hampton City Schools host a community kickoff for the R.I.S.E. (Reach, Inspire, Support and Empower) Mentoring Program. The program’s goal is to pair adult mentors with 100 middle school students, promoting academic and social success. The kickoff is 6-7:30 p.m. at the Ruppert Sargent Building, 1 Franklin St. If you would like to know how you can become a mentor or learn more about the program, please visit https://hampton.gov/3615/RISE-Mentoring-Program.
