[ARCHIVED] Hampton Sheriff’s deputies welcome students on first day of school

Back to School Greeters

Nov. 5, 2019 — On Sept. 3, deputies from the Hampton Sheriff's Office welcomed students on their first day of school. The Sheriff’s Office continues to partner with Hampton City Schools in an effort to advance our student’s academic success.

Once again, Sheriff Deputies were eager to answer the call from Hunter B. Andrews Pre-K-8 School and Phillips Elementary School to volunteer on site to welcome the students back for the 2019-20 school year. Deputies volunteered their morning to show support and celebrate the students arriving for their first day of school. Deputies greeted students exiting vehicles and buses while wishing them success with applause.
