Jan 27, 2020 - The Hampton’s Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services Department meeting to update the public on proposed changes to the parks master plan has been canceled and will be rescheduled.
The master plan is used as a guide for making decisions about renovation, redevelopment and future development of Hampton’s park infrastructure and recreational facilities. It was adopted in 1997 and last updated in 2001. In 2019, the city hired GreenPlay LLC to help update the current plan, which can be found online. The entire process is expected to last a year. Proposed changes to the plan are expected to be brought before City Council later this year.
