[ARCHIVED] Republican primary election for Senate, House, will be held June 23

June 16, 2020 - Hampton will hold a Republican Party primary election for the Senate and House of Representatives in the 2nd and 3rd Districts on June 23. The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is Tuesday, June 16 by 5 p.m. Applications to apply for a ballot by mail must be received in the Registrar’s Office by the deadline date and time. The last day to vote in person absentee is Saturday, June 20. The office at 1919 Commerce Drive will be open on June 20 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Due to the governor’s executive order, no witness signature is required for the June primary only. All qualified voters are eligible to cast a ballot in the Republican primary. There is no Democratic primary, because  Sen. Mark Warner and Reps. Elaine Luria and Bobby Scott are running unopposed.
