Special Event! Virtual BayShore Beach Experience A to Z
Facebook Live - Saturday, September 19, 6-8 pm
Join hosts Reginald Robinson and Judy Leonard for the 6th annual BayShore at Buckroe Beach event. Enjoy this virtual stroll down memory lane of the premier seaside resort for African-Americans during the Jim Crow Era. Check out great photos and artifacts from this beloved ocean paradise on special display in the Great Hall September 18-21.

Here’s what to expect: On display a plethora of BayShore Beach rare and vintage artifacts, with new exhibits added. There will be more additions to the BayShore Portrait Gallery and the event host will discuss the history of BayShore covering the years 1898 to 1914, inductions into the BayShore at Buckroe Beach Hall of Fame,and the awarding of the 4th annual Charles H. Williams award of leadership to the distinguished Dr. Christine Darden, one of the original "Hidden Figures." The C.H.W. award of leadership will be presented by Charles H. Jones, Mr C.H. William’s nephew. Our guest speaker for the BayShore Beach Experience. A to Z event will be 2019 Charles H. Williams award recipient Dr. C. N. Fairfax of N.S.U. There will be sing-a-longs and other surprises in store for all who view the 6th Annual BayShore at Buckroe Beach virtual Facebook Live event. The BayShore Beach Experience. A to Z. 1898 to 1914, virtual event is free, as is admission to the exhibit in the museum’s Great Hall. Due to increasing popularity of the event and exhibit, and COVID-19, admission into the Great Hall at any one time will be limited, and we appreciate your patience in advance. It’s the BayShore Experience, are you experienced? If not, well what are you waiting for!
