[ARCHIVED] Langley-Eustis plans virtual open house on Sept. 20 to discuss new study

Aug. 27, 2020 - Joint Base Langley-Eustis and its community partners will hold a virtual open house from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20 to talk about a new study that analyzes the effects of aircraft noise, accident potential and land use development on neighbors of Langley Air Force Base and Fort Eustis.

The public open house will be conducted as an online webinar consisting of presentations, a video, and Q&A session with various officials, including Bruce Sturk, director of federal facilities for Hampton. The 2020 Air Installation Compatibility Use Zone Study will update a previous study, and documents changes in flight operations, noise contours, and compatible use guidelines for land surrounding the bases. The goal is to continue cooperation between the bases and the surrounding communities. Here’s what you’ll need to join the virtual open house:
