[ARCHIVED] Bus drivers, attendants sought; schools plan transportation job fair Wednesday

Oct. 2, 2020 - Hampton City Schools will have a school transportation job fair on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m.-noon at the Patriot Center, 1589 Wingfield Drive. Because of the coronavirus, physical distancing and masks will be required.

 

The school system is looking for bus drivers and bus attendants “who want to make a positive impact on our students’ educational careers!” All driver applicants must be at least 21 years old, have or be willing to get a commercial driver's license, pass a criminal background check, pass a medical exam and have a high school diploma or the equivalent. Benefits include paid CDL training and an entry pay rate of $13.71. Benefits for full-time drivers include health insurance and participation in the Virginia Retirement System. To apply, visit www.hampton.k12.va.us
