[ARCHIVED] City offers new healthcare provider, Optima, during open enrollment Nov. 2-13

open enrollment

As the city prepares to launch the 2021 Benefits Open Enrollment season, Nov. 2 through Nov. 13, we are pleased to announce that Optima Health will be our new healthcare provider effective Jan. 1, 2021.

Employees can go to the Benefits page for enrollment forms and more details, including the city manager's memo, a health benefits overview, and an FAQ document.

During the open enrollment period, employees can change their medical, dental, and vision elections; add dependents to your coverage; enroll in a health or dependent Flexible Spending Account (FSA); enroll in an optional life plan; or decline health benefits.

If you are not making any changes, you don't need to do anything. Your current elections  for you and your family will roll over. The only exception is to FSA plans. You must actively enroll in the FSA plan even if you enrolled in a previous year.

To help prepare employees for the transition, the Benefits Department and Optima Health are offering two in-person sessions in Council Chambers at City Hall: Thursday, Nov. 5, at 2:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 10, at noon. Because of coronavirus precautions, the sessions are limited to 50 people.

Register for the sessions here.

Additionally, visit our new Optima Health landing page (Password: enroll) for more information and to register for one of several live webinar open enrollment information sessions

The live online webinars offered are:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 4, noon-1 p.m.
