April 30, 2021 - Hampton University's Mobile Medical Unit will provide free Covid-19 testing and vaccinations at Hampton's Peninsula Town Center on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. The state-of-the-art unit is a $500,000 project funded by donations to the university. Unveiled in February, the upgraded RV is equipped with pharmacy-grade freezers capable of sustaining the COVID-19 vaccine as it is distributed to areas around Hampton Roads. The pop-up, pre-Mother's Day Celebration will include free health screenings, children's games, a food truck, and much more. Both first and second Pfizer vaccinations will be available for those 16 and older. The RV unit will be set up in the Towne Square area behind Barnes and Noble.
