[ARCHIVED] Proclamation to Declaration to Constitution, 1763 to 1789 - Virtual Event

Square Washington Crossing the Delaware

Debuting on Facebook Live on Monday, October 4 at 7 pm!

Historian Randolph G. Flood presents a comprehensive orientation to all 26 years of the American Revolution, covering the major events, battles, leaders, and issues associated with 13 American colonies obtaining their separate independence as nation-states from Great Britain. Flood will explore the “Myths” that hide our Patriotic Past and reveal the true motives and actions that led to the creation of the United States of America.

Flood is CEO of the American Revolution Consortium for Civic Education and The Real American Revolution education television series, respectively. He began his career on the professional staff of the U.S. Senate, followed by teaching government courses on the legislative and budget processes at George Washington University and other colleges and universities. A frequent speaker at historical societies and museums, and other public events, he now lectures on over 40 topics pertaining to the American Revolution. Currently, he is administering a National Park Foundation grant and implementing a comprehensive training program to educate teachers, museum personnel, national and state park rangers and the general public about the Revolution in preparation for celebrating the 250th Anniversary.

Revolutionary Hampton
Flood’s overview serves as a lead-up to “Revolutionary Hampton,” a series of videos exploring the events, conflicts and personalities in and around the area leading up to, and during, the War for Independence, including the 1775 Battle of Hampton. Coming soon, and debuting throughout the year, episodes will be found, along with our other videos, on Facebook, YouTube and www.hamptonhistorymuseum.org.
