[ARCHIVED] Public invited to pinwheel ceremony for child safety on April 10

April 3, 2023 — Healthy Families and the Human Services Department will host a pinwheel planting ceremony at City Hall on Monday, April 10, at noon to recognize April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The event will include an awareness walk, a proclamation and the planting of symbolic blue-and-white pinwheels. The public will be welcome to attend, and guests are asked to wear blue.

The Pinwheels for Prevention campaign is a grassroots effort for individuals and organizations across the U.S. The campaign promotes healthy child development while raising awareness about preventing child abuse and neglect.
