Continued interaction with our environment is an important part of the human experience. That's why the Hampton Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Services Therapeutic Recreation division provides a variety of programs to give disabled youth and adults in Hampton the opportunity to participate in recreation and leisure programs. By design, the groups are usually small and the participant-to-staff ratio is appropriate to the needs of the group.

Programs are designed to accommodate individuals who have mild to moderate intellectual disability, physical disability, learning disability, moderate autism, and moderate behavior disorder.
