    The 24th Annual Mayflower Marathon Food Drive presented by Bud's Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning will take place Nov. 20-22 located near Kroger in Riverpointe Shopping Center. On-air personalities from 106.9 The Fox and FM99 will be broadcasting from the Mayflower Marathon, collecting food and funds to provide the gift of a meal this holiday season for the thousands of individuals who struggle with hunger across the Greater Peninsula and Hampton Roads. This 57-1/2 hour food drive makes giving easy. Simply drive through and donate. Your support will make all the difference for the families in our community who need it most - this holiday season and beyond.

  1. Friendly Reminder: Household Chemical & Electronics Collection

    Five times a year, Virginia Peninsulas Public Service Authority collects household chemicals and electronics in Hampton. This keeps chemicals and devices out of our steam plant and landfill. You can bring the following items to the collection: paint, stain, solvent, glue, varnish, adhesive, gasoline & other fuel [less than 50 gal], wax, gas/oil mixture, brake fluid, engine cleaner, motor oil, antifreeze, insecticide, weed killer, pesticide, fertilizer, pest strips, oven cleaner, drain cleaner, floor wax & cleaner, metal polish/jewelry cleaner, bleach, degreaser, septic tank cleaner, toilet cleaner, charcoal fluid, dye, kerosene, pool chemical, photofinishing chemical, rechargeable batteries, fluorescent lights, CFLs Computer-related items accepted for recycling are: desktop & laptop computers; servers; monitors (both LCD & CRT types); computer wiring; desktop printers including multifunction printers, fax machines; desktop photocopiers/scanners; cell phones

  2. Community Cleanup at Cooper Elementary School - Start Your Saturday Right!

    Saturday Community Cleanups are planned based on Community Appearance & Litter Index scores and citizen requests. Healthy Families - Education Classes

  1. Kids First - Court mandated 4-hour class - Saturday

    This 4 hour workshop provides information that can help parents understand what their children experience when their lives are reorganized by divorce, separation and family conflict. It will guide parents in making informed decisions about parenting plans as they transform thier relationship from couple to co-parents. (Satisfies Virginia Legislative requirements for child custody and visitation disputes)
