  1. Hard Times -- Live at the Block

    Come see the Hard Times Band provide live entertainment Friday in Downtown Hampton along Queens Way's outdoor dining area. Hard Times plays acoustic blues with an emphasis on traditional jazz and blues songs from Fats Waller and Louis Jordan to Dave Bromberg and Taj Mahal. Grab some food and refreshments and bring your friends to come kick off the weekend right. This event is free and open to the public.

  1. Community, Equity, and Opportunity Fest: LGBTQ Pride Event

    June 25, 2021, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Grey Goose

    The city of Hampton is working with the Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority to host a series of events in elevated-risk communities to teach residents about Covid-19 vaccinations, health screenings and more. Attendees will enjoy refreshments, music, and raffles while registering for their Covid-19 vaccination and learning about health-related resources available to city residents. The CEO Fest Equity Clinics (Community, Equity, and Opportunity) will be held on June 12, June 18, June 22, June 24, and June 25. Go online for more information and to register. The times for each event varies. You must bring lawn chairs or blankets to this event.

Hampton History Museum

  1. Hampton Carousel

    After being closed for over a year due to the pandemic, the Hampton Carousel opens for the 2021 season on June 1 with COVID protocols. Located in Carousel Park and operated by the Hampton History Museum, the former Buckroe Beach carousel is one of the City of Hampton’s most treasured historic assets. Built in 1920, the carousel is completely restored to its original beauty and housed in its own weather-protected pavilion at Carousel Park on the city’s downtown waterfront. It is one of only 170 antique wooden merry-go-rounds still existing in the U.S. Hand crafted by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company for the Buckroe Beach Amusement Park, Hampton's Carousel is a whirling tribute to the skill of its creators. The Hampton Carousel will operate under federal, state and City of Hampton COVID-19 protocols. Guests will be required to wear masks when inside the carousel building, practice social distancing, and use hand-sanitizer before and after rides.
